FAQs

Student ID: Once registered, CMS will send the student's ID number. Please keep track of this number as it will stay with your child throughout their time with CMS and will be needed for a variety of reasons.

Bus Transportation: If you have questions or concerns about your specific bus or driver, please contact Assistant Principal Courtney Pierce at courtneye.pierce@cms.k12.nc.us. For general transportation concerns, contact South Transportation Area Office at 980-343-5715 or transportation@cms.k12.nc.us.

Carpool: At the school entrance, take turns letting cars in from both directions to avoid traffic backup. The center lane is for busses only. Please do not block the thruway (located by the school rock). Carpool can be very crowded on rainy days before and after school and on the days around long holidays. Please plan accordingly to avoid tardy notices.

Forgotten Items

We are helping students be independent. After 8:00 am, the school will NOT accept forgotten lunches, water bottles, homework folders, sweatshirts or jackets, etc. The school will only accept the following items after 8:00 am: technology, prescription eyeglasses, medications.

If your child forgets their lunch, they will be served a hot lunch from the cafeteria, no child at PSE will go hungry.

Joining Your Child for Lunch

You may join your child during their lunch period.

Federal Law prohibits bringing food items purchased from outside vendors into the cafeteria. You can bring a bagged lunch from home or you may purchase a hot lunch from the cafeteria. NO fast food please.

You must sign in at the front office before meeting your child for lunch.
